The Equality Effect, 26 April 2011

The equality effect is honoured to be working with Cherie Booth QC

The equality effect is delighted to announce that Cherie Booth QC has agreed to advise the equality effect's "160 Girls" legal protection against defilement project as "Honorary Counsel". Cherie Booth is a leading barrister specializing in human rights and public law, and a staunch supporter of women's rights. She brings a wealth of human rights experience and litigation expertise to the "160 Girls" project. Cherie's commitment to achieving justice for women and girls around the world is clear: "The sexual violence and exploitation experienced by women and girls globally is appalling; it must stop. We need laws to protect women and girls, and those laws must be enforced".

The equality effect is honoured to be working with Cherie Booth, and grateful for her endorsement of this landmark human rights initiative.
