Comfort and Cherie
Cherie Blair visited Ghana recently to see first hand how her Foundation's projects are flourishing and meet the women involved in making such a success of their businesses, with the help of the Foundation's Mentoring programme.
Cherie visited two of her Foundation's projects in Ghana this month and was inspired by the women that she met.
Comfort owns a business called The Shea Shop, where she produces shea butter products. Comfort took part in the Foundation's Mentoring Women in Business Programme, where she was connected with a mentor online who supported her as she expanded the business. Comfort is not only a mentee but also a role model to many other women. Read more about Comfort's journey in her blog.
Cherie also spoke with two entrepreneurs who took part in the Cherie Blair Foundation's mobile money project, Felicia and Linda. They both sell Tigo mobile money products from their shops and told Cherie it was a valuable source of income.
