Women in Business was a lively event, with conversation and participation from the audience about women in the work place
This month, Cherie was invited by EBRD, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, to its Annual Conference in Astana to take part in the Women in Business Panel.
She visited the British Embassy and met local NGOs working in the fields of law reform and human rights. Committed and passionate presentations were given about various ongoing problems, and Cherie offered her advice and support.
Later on, she took part in a short meeting with members of the Embassy, which was followed by an EBRD working lunch, hosted by EBRD, and Cherie was joined by nine leading businesswomen operating in Kazakhstan.
She also had separate meetings with Jan Fischer; Vice President EBRD and Varel Freeman; Vice President EBRD.

Cherie was joined on the panel, moderated by Tanya Beckett, by Dominic Bruysells; CEO of Banca Commerciala Romana, Lucille Yu; President and CEO of Simula Technology Taiwan, Raushan; President of Association of Businesswomen in Kazakhstan.
