Dear AUW Supporters
Greetings from the Asian University for Women. We are happy to announce that the AUW's first commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Chittagong, Bangladesh. We cordially invite you to celebrate this momentous occasion with us!
Please save the date and mark your calendar. We will send you more information closer to the date of the event.
We are also pleased to share with you two exciting recent articles highlighting AUW. This week, the Korea Times featured Mr. Young Joon Kim, the Chairman of the AUW Support Foundation's Board of Directors. Young Joon (YJ) is spearheading AUW's first outreach event in Korea at the end of January, which will feature AUW Chancellor Cherie Blair and Vice Chancellor Dr. Fahima Aziz. We appreciate Mr. Kim's dedication to the University and its students, which the Korea Times has captured well in their feature article. You can read the article here: http://www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/people/2013/01/178_128824.html
Last week, an op-ed piece by AUW Chancellor Cherie Blair appeared in the Huffington Post. Mrs Blair reminds the international community of the importance of women's education and points to AUW as an example of the opportunities that come from providing women with higher education. Her piece can be found here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/cherie-blair/a-new-years-resolution-to_2_b_2412382.html
Please accept our best wishes for the new year, and our gratitude for your continued support for the Asian University for Women.
With warm regards
